Conclusion

My work has been joyful since it combines reality and writing skills in the exercises. I liked the "It really works" unit because it was interesting and i did a funny sketch during the unit and the most boring one was the "the biggest and the best" unit. It was interesting to write about all the things we liked and disliked because it showed to everyone a little bit about who we are, during this course we went several times to the comp lab and it was a good change of routine for us. I think i have learned a lot of english during this course and i hope to learn more and more.

Bad Day

I saw these video in one of the classes,
It's a really good song! Enjoy!

How does he look like?

This is unit 9. In this unit we learn how to describe a person! for example:

These are some of my friends. Im the one wearing a white tank top. Christine is the one on the next left to me wearing a green long-sleeve shirt. The one on my left (your right) with long brown hair is Claudia. She went to high school with me. Both of them, Christine and Claudia are my best friends. The other girl, on the far right side of the picture wearing a white, blue and pink tank top Is named Luisana but we all call her Luisi.

Life Changes

This unit is about how people change through the years. I reflect how I changed with two photos...

In the first picture I have 5 years old and in the second I'm 19 years old.
In 14 years I have changed!! I've changed my hairstyle, dyed my hair many times,I dress differently now, I'm more outgoing than before, I've gained weight and my life is more stressful now.

Honesty,I don't know if i'm going to travel next month or next year, I don't
really have an elaborate plan for my future, just right now I want the basic
things out of life: graduate, be successful, get married and be happy.

Home Remedies

This unit was really fun and interesting because we learn a lot of home remedies for health problems and also we did a role play! Here is some of the remedies that I learned...I hope you use some of them!

Backache:
Lemon is another useful remedy for backache. The juice of one lemon should be mixed with common salt and taken by the patient twice daily. It will give relief.

Insomnia:
Honey is beneficial in the treatment of insomnia. It has a hypnotic action and induces a sound sleep. It should be taken with water, before going to bed, in doses of two teaspoons in a large cup of water. Babies generally fall asleep after taking honey.

Gastritis:
Coconut water is an excellent remedy for gastritis. It gives the stomach the necessary rest and provides vitamins and minerals. The stomach is greatly helped in returning to a normal condition if nothing but coconut water is given during the first twenty-four hours.

Leg Cramps:
Stretch the sore muscle, follow your instinct, your body will automatically guide you in the correct manner. Massage the cramped muscle gently in the natural direction of the muscle. This helps relax the contraction and ease the pain. A hot shower or warm bath is a good way to relax the muscle. Use cold packs on the affected muscle. This relaxes the tensed muscles.

Invitation

In this unit we have to make an invitation to somebody. I invited my best friend to moma but she didn't want to go...

Patricia-Christine
P: Hi Christine, how are you?
C: Hello, fine and you?
P: Do you have any plans for Saturday?
C: No, not really, why?
P: Would you like to go to Moma?
C: I'm sorry, but Y don't really feel like going out
P: Come on! It's gonna be fun, Claudia is going too!
C: Maybe some other time, tell your boyfriend to go with you...
P: And what if we go to "La Esquina" first? You like "La Esquina"
C: No, I'm going to put my foot down
P: Well, at least I tried
